Our Trip to Birmingham

We decided to visit Gareth's grandparents for a few days before our big adventure, we love going to visit because we always get spoiled and our days are full of laughter! The minute we walked through the door there was a delicious chocolate cake waiting for us which as always, was heavenly. There is nothing better than the smell of home baking, it makes a house feel so homely and cosy! I can't begin to imagine how much cake we ate but every bite was worth it since we won't be able to have Betty's (Gareth's Nanna) cake for a while!

On the journey
There's a tree on our root!
Gareth's grandparents live in Sutton Coldfield which is just outside Birmingham, within the area there is a huge park called Four Oaks which is about 7k if you were to walk it! It's a beautiful park with about four lakes inside. However, Gareth and I never made it to these lakes because we went of the beaten track and ending up climbing over giant tree trunks that blocked our path! Turns out we were only 30 seconds away from the road that took us into the centre of the park but by the time we realised it was time to turn back! Never mind it was just as fun if not more!

Gareth was super happy because Phil (Gareth's Grandad) has a 3D TV so he got to watch the hobbit trilogy with all the family which was a lot of fun (I'm in love with Legolas)!

Choosing the route!(getting lost)
Overall we had such a lush time with everyone and it is honestly a home from home.

Ramblings over! Sarah x
